AUGUSTA, Kan. (TCN) — Authorities arrested two juveniles final week on suspicion of killing an aged girl who was discovered useless in her house final 12 months.
In line with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, on Sept. 3, 2023, a member of the family found 93-year-old Joanne Johnson deceased. Investigators consider she was killed someday between Sept. 2 and Sept. 3.
Johnson’s demise remained unsolved for nearly a 12 months till just lately, when the Kansas Bureau of Investigation introduced the arrest of two 14-year-old suspects on Aug. 15. Investigators haven’t but recognized the connection between the kids and Johnson. They continue to be held at separate juvenile detention facilities, and formal costs are pending.
In an announcement obtained by KWCH-TV,  Augusta Public Faculties Superintendent Matt Ward mentioned, “The district has been made conscious of Augusta Public Security Division’s announcement relating to an ongoing investigation involving two Augusta minors who’re a part of a present regulation enforcement investigation.
