ALTOONA, Pa. (TCN) — A 43-year-old girl was taken into custody on a number of expenses for allegedly slashing her boyfriend’s throat and arms after he refused to offer her his remedy.

In line with the Altoona Police Division, on Oct. 5 at 1:04 a.m., officers responded to a house on Broad Avenue concerning a home incident with a knife. After they arrived, they discovered the male sufferer with cuts throughout his throat and arms. Police allege the sufferer’s girlfriend, Rebekah Edwards, stood over the mattress “with a big kitchen knife positioned in opposition to his throat threatening his life and demanding his Klonopin tablets.”

Edwards reportedly slashed his throat, however the sufferer managed to disarm her. She reportedly began hitting him with one other knife once more “as he tried to thwart the assault.” That is when he sustained the accidents to his arms.

The sufferer reportedly took the knife away from her once more earlier than police confirmed up.

Court docket data cited by WTAJ-TV allege Edwards held the knife to her boyfriend’s throat and stated, “I will kill you. You do not suppose I am going to do it?” Edwards reportedly informed police that her boyfriend beforehand gave her a few of his Klonopin, a medication usually prescribed for anxiousness, sleeplessness, and alcohol withdrawal.

After they acquired there, police reportedly seen a knife on the entrance steps and blood all through the house.

Edwards and her boyfriend had been residing collectively for about eight years.

Altoona Police stated Edwards was arrested on expenses of legal try murder, aggravated assault, possession of devices of a criminal offense, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, and easy assault. Her bail was set at $100,000 money.
