On the evening of Feb. 17, police and fireplace departments in a Connecticut metropolis rushed to Kimberly Sullivan’s residence to place out the flames. Inside, they found a home in disarray, and rescued her grownup stepson, who appeared emaciated and lacking most of his enamel. The person claimed he had been held captive for 20 years and that he set the hearth himself as a way to escape her home of horrors.
