On September 20, 2024, Dr. Maddux will likely be presenting on the Third Annual American Academy of Forensic Psychology Convention in San Antonio TX alongside a terrific lineup of audio system. His presentation titled, “Baby Safety Evaluations: Assessments for Termination of Parental Rights (TPR) and Different Hearings,” will concentrate on psychological evaluations in youngster safety instances.

This three hour session is centered on forensic psychological well being assessments in youngster safety proceedings. It begins by offering a contextual overview of present controversies and points associated to Baby Protecting Companies and youngster maltreatment insurance policies. Debate regarding termination of parental rights (TPR) will likely be emphasised. It should then contact upon present follow suggestions and present analysis earlier than delving into newly proposed pointers for conducting TPR and different youngster safety evaluations, which Dr. Maddux wrote with different APA Working Group members.
